GSC Men's Basketball Falls To Georgia Highlands

BARNESVILLE, Ga. – Despite a game-high 31 points from JahNile Hill and 28 points from Varun Danak, Gordon State fell 98-85 to Georgia Highlands College in a Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) men's basketball game here Saturday afternoon.

Hill (Manchester, Ga. / Manchester HS) connected on 10 field goals, including eight three-pointers, while Danak (Snellville, Ga. / Brookwood HS) went 12-for-18 from the floor and added 11 rebounds to complete the double-double for the Highlanders.

But GSC got just 26 points from the rest of the team as GSC (4-7 overall, 4-7 GCAA) lost for the third straight time.

GHC built a 54-49 halftime lead and led by as many as 20 points in the second half before completing the 13-point victory.

Chris Wright had 26 points while Joel Pullen added 18 for the Chargers, who also went 24 of 36 from the free throw line while GSC was 10 of 18.

GSC and GHC meet again Tuesday night in Rome.
