Lady Highlanders Record Eighth Consecutive Win

The Lady Highlanders now lead the nation in shutouts, recording their eighth consecutive shutout.

The Lady Highlanders now lead the nation in shutouts, recording their eighth consecutive shutout. The Highlander defense seemed to be impenetrable tonight, not allowing a single shot from the Andrew offense. 
  
Andrew was equally committed to defending, holding a deep-line that frustrated Gordon State's attack. However, the Highlanders were still able to get off nine shots and had some near misses off of corner-kicks.
 
It was the Highlander's big second half that clinched the game. In the 6th minute, Skylar Bertram's header, assisted by Ashlyn Halseth, started the scoring. Michayla Barnes, assisted again by Halseth, then scored a late goal in the 74th minute followed by Barnes's assist to Courtney Hahn four minutes later.
 
The Gordon State Highlanders now have an impressive 31 goals on the season with zero against. 
 
The Lady Highlanders play again at home against Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College at 6:00 pm this Tuesday, September 25th.
