Game two of the Lady Highlanders Tennessee weekend proved to be a tougher match than Sunday's with Gordon State coming away with a 1-0 win. Skylar Bertram 13th minute goal, assisted by Courtney Hahn, put an end to Motlow State's 5 game win streak.
Bertram worked hard for her goal having to dart between defenders and poke her shot around the Motlow goalkeeper. She now has 23 goals and nine assists on the season.
The Lady Highlander continued their stingy defending and recorded another clean sheet. Gordon State now has 12 shutouts on the season while only allowing 3 goals. Brooke Shavers had another fine showing in goal, playing mostly with her feet as she distributed out of the back.
