Updated Attendance Policy For GSC Men's Basketball

Updated Attendance Policy For GSC Men's Basketball

BARNESVILLE, Ga. – Gordon State College Athletics will enforce the following protocol to start the 2021 men's basketball season – specifically for our home contests over the next two weeks to include:

Saturday, Feb. 6 vs. The Skill Factory @ 4 p.m. (preseason scrimmage only -- no spectators at all)

Tuesday, Feb. 9 vs. Albany Tech @ 7 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 13 vs. Southern Crescent Tech @ 1 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 20 vs. East Georgia St. College @ 1 p.m.

Spectators will not be allowed into the Student Activity and Recreation Center (SARC) Arena. This will include students, faculty, staff and anyone from off-campus and the community. Only game personnel of student-athletes, coaches, officials (referees), athletic trainers, scorer's table staff, bus driver for the visiting team and athletic director will be allowed into the arena.

One exception to the policy will be to allow two parents per student-athlete to attend all regular season home games.

GSC Athletics will review this policy on February 22 to determine if there will be any changes to the policy for upcoming home games. GSC Athletics is also working on a live-stream approach to broadcast the games.

No one will be allowed to congregate in the SARC lobby in front of the glass doors leading into the arena. This does not promote a social-distance environment and this area will need to remain clear for all home games.
