Late Rally Sends GSC Baseball To Walk-Off Win Over No. 2 Chipola

BARNESVILLE, Ga. – Blaze O'Saben's single to left field scored Hunter Marion from third base as Gordon State rallied for a wild 11-10 walk-off win over No. 2 Chipola College here Wednesday afternoon.

GSC trailed 9-2 going to the bottom of the seventh inning, but began to chip away at the seven-run deficit with a run in the seventh, two in the eighth and tied the game in the bottom of the ninth with four runs to make it 9-9 heading to extra innings.

Chipola got a run in its half of the 10th to retake the lead at 10-9, but GSC tied it again and then walked off with the improbable 11-10 victory to improve to 6-7 and win for the fourth time in its last five games.

GSC is right back at it Thursday as No. 12 Northwest Florida State College comes in for a two-game series.

Thursday's game begins at 5 p.m. ET and Friday's contest will get started at Noon.

Limited spectators are permitted in attendance with social-distanced seating and face masks required.
