East Georgia Takes Down GSC On The Road 70-57

SWAINSBORO, Ga. – Despite a game-high 26 points from JahNile Hill, Gordon State College couldn't overcome a slow first half as East Georgia State College defeated the Highlanders 70-57 here Thursday in Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) action.

Hill (Manchester, Ga. / Manchester HS) connected on 10 of 23 from the field, including a trio of three-pointers, while pulling down three rebounds and handing out two assists for GSC.

EGSC led 37-24 at the half and then played GSC to a 33-33 stalemate in the second half to secure the 13-point victory.

EGSC picked up its first GCAA win to improve to 1-4 in the conference and 4-6 overall while GSC dropped to 2-3 in the GCAA and 2-3 overall.

Trenton Gordon and Varun Danak each had nine points for GSC while Gordon pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.

Preston Crisp led EGSC with 19 points.

GSC is back on the hardwood this Saturday as the Highlanders host EGSC in a 1 p.m. ET contest. No spectators are permitted into the arena for the game.
