Highlander Hoops Rebounds With 68-64 Win Over East Georgia

BARNESVILLE, Ga. – Gordon State put three players in double-digits as JahNile Hill scored a game-high 23 points while Shawn Smith added 11 and Trenton Gordon 10 in the Highlanders' 68-64 win over East Georgia State College here Saturday in Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) men's basketball action.

Hill (Manchester, Ga. / Manchester HS) used five three-pointers on the afternoon to contribute to his scoring surge as GSC improved to 3-3 overall and 3-3 in the GCAA.

Meanwhile, Smith (Conyers, Ga. / Newton County HS) added a game-high six assists and also had five rebounds while Gordon (Duluth, Ga. / Duluth HS) added 10 rebounds and four assists to his totals for the Highlanders.

As a team, GSC made 27 fields on 17 assists.

Preston Crisp and Maliek Sadler each had 14 points for EGSC (4-7, 1-5).

GSC is on the road Tuesday as the Highlanders head to Macon to take on Central Georgia Technical College at 7:30 p.m. ET.
