GSC Men's Hoops Falls At South Georgia State

WAYCROSS, Ga. – Despite a game-high 24 points from JahNile Hill, Gordon State's men's basketball team fell on the road at South Georgia State College as the Hawks rolled to a 95-69 win over the Highlanders in a Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) contest here Thursday night.

Hill (Manchester, Ga. / Manchester HS) connected for all 24 points on three-pointers, but it wasn't enough as GSC fell behind 47-24 at halftime and eventually lost by 26 points.

Jheim McDonald (Conyers, Ga. / Rockdale Co. HS) and Kaleb Taylor (Macon, Ga. / Jones Co. HS) each had nine points for GSC (5-10 overall, 5-10 GCAA) while Isaiah Wray (Long Island, N.Y. / Union Grove HS) had a game-high 10 rebounds.

Jayce Moore led the way for SGSC (17-3, 11-3) with 21 points.

The two teams meet again on Saturday in Barnesville at 1 p.m. to close out the regular season. Only parents of GSC players and the first 50 GSC students through a campus signup are allowed in attendance.
