Barefield, Hager Sweep Weekly GCAA Softball Honors

BARNESVILLE, Ga. – Gordon State Softball swept the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) weekly honors for February 22-28 as Catherine Barefield was named Player-of-the-Week and Faith Hager was named Pitcher-of-the-Week.

Barefield (Cataula, Ga. / Harris Co. HS) had a .421 batting average with three home runs, six RBI, four runs scored, one double and .450 on-base percentage in six games.

Hager (Conyers, Ga. / Heritage HS) went 2-1 and pitched 14.1 innings while allowing just three runs (one earned), 13 strikeouts, four walks and a 0.48 earned-run-average.
