DEMOREST, GA – Sophomore second baseman Cayla Bishop has been named the GCAA Softball Player of the Week after her performance versus USC Salkehatchie, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Bishop led GSC at the plate in the doubleheader with a .625 BA% with a double, RBI, 5 runs scored, 2 walks and a stolen base.  She was also assisted in turning a double play and was perfect on her defensive chances in the field. 

GSC has a busy week to the west as they travel to Wadley, Alabama on Wednesday for a non-region doubleheader versus Southern Union and will then follow up with the Visit Dothan Tournament this weekend in Dothan, AL.
