DEMOREST, GA – Sophomore Cayla Bishop has earned her second GCAA Softball Player of the Week honor based on her performances last week versus Andrew and East Georgia, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Bishop led the Highlanders at the plate batting .538 for the week, which included 3 home runs, 5 RBI's, 5 runs scored and a double.  She was also perfect defensivley at second base with 8 put outs and 7 assists.  

Gordon State looks to bounce back this week after falling 1-3 in the conference.  The next home game is Wednesday at 4:00 PM vs. Georgia Military.
