DEMOREST, GA.  The Georgia Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its weekly awards on Monday, and freshman pitcher Katelyn Munoz was selected as the Pitcher of the Week after her outstanding performance versus Roane State. It's the first honor of the season for Munoz and the Highlanders. 

Munoz recorded her first two wins of her collegiate career last Monday in a double header sweep of the Raiders.  She threw 9.1 innings with 10 strike outs and allowing just 2 earned runs on the day.  

Gordon State will host Chattahoochee Valley CC at home on Thursday for a 2:00 PM DH.
