DEMOREST, GA - Freshman utility player Emmalyn Gable has been named the GCAA Softball Player of the Week. It marks the first time in her career that she has earned the conference's weekly accolade.

In 5 games versus #12 San Jacinto, #4 Wallace State Hanceville, #2 Des Moines Area CC (D2), #20 Rock Valley CC (D2) and RV Triton (D2), Gable hit .438 with 2 doubles, 2 home runs (one grand slam), 10 RBI's, 1 BB and 1 HBP.  In the field at catcher and third base, she had 9 putouts, 4 assists and 1 error.  This perforamce also landed her on the NFCA Lead-Off Classic All Touranment Team.  

Currenlty, Gable ranks second in the GCAA for batting average (.444), is tied for third in homeruns (4) and sits in 5th for RBI's (15).
