Back-to-Back Pitcher of the Week Honors for Katelyn Munoz

DEMOREST, GA:  On Monday, the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its weekly award winners for softball. For the second straight week, GSC pitcher Katelyn Munoz has been named the GCAA Pitcher of the Week.

Munoz earned 2 wins on the week over East Georgia State and Georgia Military.   In 13.1 innings pitched, she allowed just 1 run while scattering 8 hits and striking out 21 batters.  She also surpassed the century mark in strikeouts for the season in the second inning versus East Georgia.  This is Munoz's fourth Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.  

The Highlanders take a slight break in action as they have a midweek bye this week before heading to Douglas, GA to take on the South Georgia State Hawks on Saturday.
