Highlanders Finish Season in NJCAA South Atlantic District Final

BARNESVILLE, Ga. -- Gordon State Soccer wrapped up the 2021 spring season here Saturday as the Highlanders dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 3 nationally-ranked Eastern Florida State College in the NJCAA South Atlantic District final.

Sophomore Julieta Limardo scored on a pass from Kurumi Arakawa in the 33rd minute of the game to put the Titans (9-0-1) on top to stay at 1-0.

Brazil Clark found the back of the net on a corner kick from Alba Alvarez early in the second half to make it 2-0.

With time down inside the final minute, Limardo made it 3-0 on a corner kick by Alvarez.

With this result, the Highlanders end their 2020-21 campaign with an overall record of 8-4-0 while capturing their third consecutive Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) / NJCAA Region 17 title after a 2-1 victory over South Georgia State College on Wednesday.
