Six Highlanders Honored on All-Region Teams

The Gordon State Soccer program has once again been distinguished as six student-athletes were named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 17 (Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association) team.

Sophomore Sophia Kotopka, a midfielder from Riverview, FL (East Bay High School) was chosen first team for the second time. She was joined on by fellow sophomore and Tampa Bay Dynamo teammate Aniah Rasool, Ruskin, FL (Lennard High School).

Four additional Highlanders were recognized on the second team – Defenders freshman Adriana Duque Davie, FL (Archbishop McCarthy High School) and Chelsie Moore of Williamson, GA (Pike County High School). Freshman Kira Goodwin of Middleburg, FL (Oakleaf High School) was chosen as a forward and sophomore Lourdes Tompkins of Stephens, Ga (Oglethorpe County High School) was selected as a midfielder.
