Tifton, GA - The Gordon State Highlanders returned to action with a 1-0 GCAA Region victory in Tifton, GA versus ABAC. The Highlanders were dominant in possession never allowing the Fillies to threaten their goal. However, Gordon did find ABAC difficult to break down.

Despite creating numerous scoring opportunities the Highlanders could not find the break through until the second half of the match. Quick thinking sophomore Alex Chapman floated a ball 30 yards from goal into the back of the net after finding the goalkeeper out of position.

The win improves Gordon State's record to 6-1-1 while remaining in first place in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 4-0-1 record.

Gordon State has a quick turnaround as they return home to host Georgia Military College Tuesday, September 24 at 7:00.
