Ashlyn Halseth's Overtime Goal Lifts Highlanders Over GA Military

The Lady Highlanders traveled to Milledgeville to take on GCAA rival GA Military. A tight, defensive game took an overtime golden-goal from Ashlyn Halseth, assisted by Skylar Bertram, to separate the teams.

Brooke Shavers worked hard for this week's shutout as the shots started by the 8th minute of the game. With 5 saves, Brooke remains tied in the number 1 spot in the nation for keepers. Only nine teams in the NJCAA can boast of still having a shutout season. Gordon State is in the lead with 6 consecutive shut-out games. At this point in the season, Shavers leads all goalkeepers in the NJCAA with 546 minutes played and is second place with 12 saves for the season.

Gordon's defense continues to impress as they shut down Military's high scoring offense and limited them to only 5 shots on goal.

Halseth's OT winning goal gave the sophomore her 4th goal of the season, continuing the Highlanders' 6 game winning streak.
