The Lady Highlanders took to the road this weekend for a two-game trip to Tennessee. In their first game of the weekend, the Highlanders cruised to an 8-0 victory against Martin Methodist University JV. With an impressive 20 shots on target, the Highlanders finished with 29 total shots.
 
In the 11th minute of the game, the Highlanders registered the first shot, but it was not until the 24th minute when Kaitlin O'Connor made a run out of the back to score on an assist by Brittany Colangelo, the other outside-back.
 
The goals then came quickly as five minutes later, Jordan White headed in a corner kick from Sydney Stephens and seconds later, White turned provider on an assist to Skylar Bertram. Bertram followed her goal with an assist of her own to Michayla Barnes 12 minutes later, ending the first half with a 4-0 Gordon lead.
 
In the second half, Bertram started the scoring in the 56th minute, quickly followed by a penalty kick goal from Brooke Biggs, her first collegiate goal. Two minutes later, Bertram completed her 6th hat trick of the season with an assist from Courtney Hahn. Michayla Barnes closed out the scoring with five minutes left, assisted by Demi Kiker, to end the game at 8-0 for the Highlanders.
 
                    
 
The Gordon defense continued their outstanding season with yet another shutout, only allowing two shots on goal. Isabelle Vazquez and Samaria Carpenter held the middle of the defense down which allowed Colangelo and O'Connor to join in the attack.
